DRII Training and Certification Exam Returns to Pittsburgh
For the fifth consecutive year, TRCPA is proud to host the Disaster Recovery Institute International (DRII), as it offers its BCP-501 course (Business Continuity Planning Review), followed by the certification examination for the Certified Business Continuity Planner (CBCP). TRCPA members are entitled to a 10% discount on the course enrollment fees (with no travel expenses).
The BCP-501 course is scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday, June 18th and 19th at the Allegheny County Emergency Operations Center in Point Breeze. The CBCP exam will take place in the morning on Friday, June 20th. DRII's description of the course is as follows:
The BCP-501 is a two day (16 hour), fast paced Business Continuity Planning review. The course outlines and briefly exemplifies the 10 Professional Practices for Business Continuity Professionals, internationally accepted standards developed by DRI International and the Business Continuity Institute [BCI]. Instructors with significant years of industry experience refresh participants on the practical means by which to develop, test, and maintain business continuity plans.
On the morning following instruction, attendees may sit for the (3.5 hour) DRI International Qualifying Examination.
The 2008 list price for this course is $1495, which includes a continental breakfast, lunch, and occasional refreshment breaks. The course typically runs:
DAY 1 - 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
DAY 2 - 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
QUALIFYING EXAM DAY 3 - 8:30 AM - 12:00 PM
